As a Security Officer - Transit Hub Patrol in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and data center location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. You will deliver standout customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a high-tech data center location by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of building interiors, equipment areas, loading and dock zones, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and control entry by checking credentials, logging visitors and/or vendors, issuing temporary badges, and directing individuals to the proper contacts in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, unauthorized access attempts, and/or disturbances, and communicate updates to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete detailed reports and logs for patrol activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and coordinate with site teams and/or public responders as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required as requested by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
