Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position is remote but prefer candidates be local to Columbus, OH. Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities: The Trainer supports the full training lifecycle aligned to deployment activities and ongoing operational needs. Responsibilities include pre deployment preparation, live delivery, post deployment reinforcement, and continuous content development. Training Delivery and Deployment Support
Curriculum Design and Development
- Design and deliver structured training programs for personnel at all levels
- Develop role specific curricula tailored to submitters, reviewers, administrators, and executive users
- Create instructional outlines and determine appropriate delivery methods including individual instruction, group sessions, workshops, lectures, and demonstrations
- Develop job aids, visual materials, exercises, and recorded training content to support onboarding and sustainment
- Create assessments and define evaluation criteria to measure training effectiveness
Stakeholder Collaboration and Program Alignment
- Partner with sales, marketing, engineering, and operational stakeholders to identify training needs and obtain technical documentation
- Confer with leadership, employees, and customers to understand workflow requirements and system changes
- Align training content with updated policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies
- Schedule and coordinate training programs in alignment with deployment timelines
Continuous Improvement and Oversight
- Monitor trends in learning theory, motivation theory, and instructional best practices to enhance program quality
- Evaluate training outcomes and recommend improvements based on performance feedback
- Oversee and evaluate contractors or vendors supporting training development or delivery as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or an Associates degree and 7 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- 5 years of experience delivering instructor led and virtual training for enterprise web based applications.
- Demonstrated experience supporting system implementations involving workflow driven platforms with structured data entry and role based access controls.
- Proven experience developing comprehensive training materials including user guides, quick reference sheets, job aids, scenario based exercises, and recorded learning modules.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver role based training tailored to multiple user groups such as frontline users, supervisors, administrators, and executive stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of enterprise application concepts including workflow state transitions, validation rules, reporting dashboards, and security controls, with the ability to translate system functionality into operational instruction.
- Experience conducting hands on training in classroom and remote environments, including facilitation of sandbox or non production exercises.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting large scale system rollouts of 500 plus users.
- Experience within government, public sector, corrections, law enforcement, or similarly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting system modernization initiatives involving replacement of legacy processes with digital workflow platforms.
- Demonstrated understanding of Organizational Change Management principles and ability to reinforce user adoption during training delivery.
- Strong facilitation experience within structured and policy driven operational environments.

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
