Framatome is seeking a Technical Lead Engineer to join our I&C team.

The I&C project engineering team focuses on industrial control system solutions for our nuclear customers in existing and new plant applications. Our Engineering group executes I&C projects from complicated large modernizations to small unique plant applications. We are leaders in the nuclear industry with a large I&C portfolio and the ability to provide plant wide solutions.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Lead and support the execution of the technical scope of work for I&C projects
  • Manage project engineering schedule and project budget
  • Supervise a team of engineers and coordinate day-to-day engineering team's project assignments
  • Coordinate with Project Management, sub-suppliers, and customers
  • Develop control system architecture solutions for nuclear power plant applications
  • Design process control solutions using various system platforms and configurators
  • Plan, organize, and implement solutions to address client's needs ensuring compliance with government, organization, and customer engineering standards
  • Prepare and review of technical project deliverables to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Support the development of proposals


What You'll Do Day-To-Day

  • Performs a variety of more complex engineering assignments.
  • Performs independent review of department work products, risk assessments, Apparent Cause Analyses, Root Cause Analyses, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis etc.
  • Proposes solutions and work scope to supervisor, works autonomously on most assignments and solutions.
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards.
  • Develops new or adapted products, methods, systems or models to provide added value solutions to customers.
  • Understands impact of work on other organizations internally and externally.
  • Works on special projects, as directed.
  • Provides suggestions for improving processes and implementing process improvements.


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
    • Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
  • Grows developed network and maintains good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Displays leadership characteristics.
  • Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.
  • Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in I&C with experience in the design of controls systems.
  • Nuclear Plant Experience.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly and work well as part of a team.
  • Experience with any of the following ICS platforms/vendors: Foxboro DCS, Triconex, Teleperm XS, Siemens Simatic S7, National Instruments Labview.

Total Rewards Package

  • Salary: $126,000 - $171,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
