Role Overview

This Vice President will play a key role within the Asset Management (AM) Marketing team, being the lead writer for alternatives education and reporting to the Global Head content marketing and education. The educational content will be written for the TPW client channel which includes discretionary and advisory wealth managers, private banks, and fund platforms. This is a new role that will help drive the global growth of Goldman Sachs Alternatives. The focus will be taking complex alternatives concepts and turning them into accessible and engaging content across web (GSIU) and other marketing materials.

Position Responsibilities:



  • Develop educational content on alternative investments including private equity, private real estate, private infrastructure, and private credit, for financial advisors and their clients
  • Translate complex investment concepts into clear, engaging language suitable for retail audiences
  • Create a range of educational materials including advisor guides, explainer pieces, presentations, videos, and digital learning modules.
  • Partner with investment teams, product specialist, content marketers, and compliance to ensure the content is accurate and compliant, and align with Goldman Sachs' investment perspectives
  • Support advisor education initiatives including training programs, conferences, webinars, and digital learning platforms
  • Develop thematic content tied to market trends ie private credit in portfolios, diversification benefits ect.
  • Help shape the educational narrative for alternatives and build Goldman Sachs' brand as a leader in the education space for alternatives


Qualifications:



  • 7 or more years in a similar or related role with previous experience in asset management and alternatives marketing
  • In-depth knowledge of the alternatives industry clients, products, regulations, competitors, with knowledge about private equity, private real estate, private infrastructure, and private credit
  • Ability to present investment views in a thoughtful and well-reasoned manner, synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story
  • Demonstrated ability to write for financial advisors and retail investors, and simplifying complex topics
  • Experience working with investment professionals and navigating financial compliance review processes
  • Well-developed strategic thinking with commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Demonstrable track record of working effectively across matrixed, complex organizations with excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Experience with senior stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS); MBA and/or CAIA preferred


Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
