Some things you can expect to do: This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role where you will become a subject matter expert in our real estate accounting systems. Real Estate Systems Management (50%) Become the bedrock of our financial data integrity by managing our core real estate accounting platforms (MRI, Yardi, Nexus, and JDE). You will be responsible for everything from report generation and data validation to supporting system upgrades and onboarding new properties. You'll partner closely with our Financial Technology group to resolve issues and ensure seamless data integration. Team Enablement & Business Continuity (25%) Empower our Real Estate Management (REM) Accounting teams by acting as their go-to resource for system support, training, and best practices. You will create clear documentation, assist with onboarding new team members, and provide critical backup coverage to ensure our key financial processes run smoothly during peak periods. Process Improvement & Strategic Analysis (25%) Drive efficiency and scalability by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance system reporting. You will conduct trend and scenario analysis, help develop and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards in Power BI, and translate business requirements into system-supported solutions. To be successful in this role you must have: * Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. * 4+ years of relevant experience in financial systems, real estate accounting, or finance operations. * Within your experience, you must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial real estate or lease audit roles. * Hands-on experience with real estate management software, specifically MRI or Yardi. * Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of financial terms and principles. * Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and Power BI. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and system concepts to various stakeholders. You will really stand out if you have: * A Master's degree. * Direct experience with Financial Statement preparation and General Ledger account reconciliations. * Familiarity with JDE E1 and/or the Nexus payment platform. * Experience supporting ERP systems in a multi-property or portfolio-based environment. Compensation: The salary range is $90,000 - 115,000. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include overtime, commission and/or an incentive program.
