$5,000 Sign-On Bonus with commitment! Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86 bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Littleton, CO. Highlands features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Website: https://highlandsbhs.com The Director of Intake & Admissions is accountable for the oversight and direction of the hospital's admissions department. As a clinician, this position provides direction to a staff of specialists in the provision of patient access to care and behavioral health assessment services, including call management, clinical evaluations for level of care, crisis intervention, admissions, and referrals. This position interfaces closely with the hospital's medical staff, nursing staff, fellow department heads, and administration, as well as external referring agencies and payers. The Director of Intake & Admissions is responsible for the department's budget, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and data management/analysis. In addition, the Director of Intake & Admissions participates with the senior leadership team in the development and management of processes related to the hospital's strategic goals. Qualifications Education: Master's degree, Ph.D., or RN Licensure (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited college or university. Ph.D. or master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field. Experience: A minimum of five (5) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Working knowledge of Substance Use Disorders. A minimum of three (3) years of managing a professional/clinical team with responsibilities for staffing, budget, and process improvements. Licensure: RN, CSW, MFT, LPC, Ph.D., or applicable license per state regulations, required. Additional Requirements: Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Training in Verbal De-Escalation, Handle with Care, and BLS upon hire. Knowledge and ability to effectively use computers, analysis programs, and internet for measurement and reporting of key indicators and trends.
