Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm

OVERVIEW:

Working as an Income Tax Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our direct tax team focusing on a variety of federal, state, and foreign income tax matters for world-wide locations. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

oManaging the daily operations and development of the income tax team

oMaintaining compliance with global income tax requirements, ASC 740, and other applicable international tax accounting standards

oPreparing and reviewing quarterly and annual global income tax provision, effective tax rate calculations, and related disclosures

oLeading income tax research, planning, analysis, and documentation activities

oEffectively communicating and providing guidance to foreign based accounting, tax, and administrative teams

oReviewing income tax returns prepared internally and by external tax advisors

oManaging income tax examination activities

oProcessing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities to include analytical review of corporate tax balances and developing, enhancing, reviewing, and approving tax related reconciliations

oIdentifying and implementing system and procedural enhancements and efficiencies, including an emphasis on results-driven project management

oPerforming special projects and other administrative tasks as necessary

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess a degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field of study

o Possess at least 5 years of related work experience

oExcellent written and oral communication skills

oHighly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

oDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

oWork independently as well as in a team environment

oLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

oProficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

oExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

oDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

oPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

oProficient using PeopleSoft

oPossess experience with accounting for income taxes

oPossess experience with large corporate income tax return or tax provision

oPossess a bachelor's degree in Accounting

oPossess a master's degree in Business Taxation

FULL-TIME BENEFITS:

Fastenal offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees. This package includes Health, Life, Long Term Disability, and Dental Insurance, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401(k) with an employer contribution.

COMPENSATION:

The base pay range for this position is $72,000 - 90,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
