Job Description:

Baptist Health Louisville is searching for a dynamic and experienced Emergency Room Nurse Manager for our fast-paced, high volume emergency room. This key position provides operational and clinical leadership for the Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. This position is responsible for overseeing daily department operations, supervising clinical staff, and supporting physicians and interdisciplinary team members in delivering efficient emergency services.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for monitoring quality indicators, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance, while implementing initiatives to improve clinical outcomes, safety, efficiency, and patient experience. The Emergency Department Manager collaborates with physicians, nursing leadership, and hospital administration to support strategic initiatives, enhance emergency services, and ensure the department is prepared to respond effectively to emergency and high-acuity patient needs.

The Manager has a high daily focus on ensuring compliance with all hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards while maintaining an environment focused on quality outcomes, patient safety, and service excellence. Additional day-to-day oversight includes staffing, patient throughput, and clinical workflow. The leadership position ensures team members are supported, promotes professional development, and ensures appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care demands.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in nursing is required

Master's degree in nursing or a related healthcare field is preferred.

Candidates must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.

A minimum of two years of recent leadership experience in a healthcare setting is required, along with a strong knowledge of emergency nursing practice.

Life safety certifications will be required (BLS, ACLS, PALS)
