Surgical Services Assistant - Main Operating Room - Part Time

Location: Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City

Shift: Part Time (24 hours/week)

Schedule: 2 12-hour shifts/week

Overview:

Under direct supervision completes tasks, according to skill level, to assist surgery personnel in providing nursing care and surgical services to patients in the operating room area.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Preferred Education: Successful completion of Medical Terminology Course.

• Preferred Experience: Previous Nurse aide and/or phlebotomy experience in acute care setting.

• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certification must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
