THE POSITION

The Department of General Services (DGS) Energy Resource Management Office is looking for a strong administrative professional to support the bureau with contract management, human resources, project management, procurement, and training needs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role of Bureau Coordinator, you will provide assistance to the Energy Resource Management Office by managing a variety of complex projects, often public facing. Responsibilities include assisting with the various service contracting tasks for the Bureau as well as purchasing of unique services and equipment. Our team will rely on you to work with the policy office to ensure policies for the bureau are up to date. You can expect to lead program evaluation and performance audits, serve as the HR liaison and perform a variety of office management tasks. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Division chiefs, other bureaus and program areas on any and all of the office's procurement related tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, one day a week telework, four days a week in office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have one or more years of experience managing complex, multiphase projects that involve public facing components, varying timelines, and measurable ROI or operational impact.
  • You must have one or more years of experience drafting, updating, or interpreting organizational policies, procedures, and compliance documents related to HR, telework, timekeeping, or operational standards.
  • You must have one or more years of experience conducting program evaluations, internal controls assessments, performance audits, or data-driven analyses used to inform executive or policy decisions.
  • You must have one or more years of experience supporting procurement processes, drafting or managing contracts, coordinating with legal/finance/procurement offices, or overseeing vendor performance and compliance.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
