Job Summary
The Social Media Analyst supports programming and social media teams by gathering, organizing, and reporting on social media performance across key digital platforms. This role is responsible for producing regular performance reports, identifying actionable insights, and translating analytics into clear recommendations that help guide content strategy and publishing decisions. The Social Analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to monitor trends, evaluate campaign performance, and provide visibility into audience engagement and competitive activity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically minded, and interested in understanding how social media insights influence content and programming strategies. Job Responsibilities
Produce weekly and monthly social media performance reports across owned social channels and priority content initiatives.
Analyze social media KPIs, including views, engagement, retention, sentiment, and share of voice, to identify meaningful insights and trends.
Monitor competitor and industry activity to contextualize platform shifts, content trends, and performance benchmarks.
Support deep-dive analytics for priority initiatives, including pre-launch planning, live campaign monitoring, and post-launch performance recaps.
Extract, organize, and clean data from analytics platforms such as social media dashboards and reporting tools.
Summarize findings and translate data into clear, actionable insights to support programming and content strategy recommendations.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting deliverables.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting workflows, data visualization, and analytics processes.
Job Requirements
Understanding of social media KPIs and major platform ecosystems, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X/Twitter.
Familiarity with social analytics and reporting tools such as Sprinklr, YouTube Analytics, Meta Insights, or Google Analytics.
Ability to analyze and summarize data clearly for non-technical stakeholders.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Demonstrated curiosity and interest in content performance, audience behavior, and social media trends.
