What to Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated software product leader to support our Supply Chain Organization by leading a team responsible for the product development and deployment of solutions that transform Tesla supply chain operations through automation. The scope of applications under management encompasses supply chain domains such as source to contract, procure to pay, supplier parts qualification, and supplier risk and performance management. You will be part of a team that is managing strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across all of Tesla's Supply Chain Management Team. The role requires the ability to build strong cross-functional working relationships with our technical engineers, supply chain, finance, and a variety of other functions, as you lead respective product development lifecycle from requirements articulation through feature deployment. You will interact with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including our buyers as well as executives on a regular basis and hence require the ability to perform hands on operational tasks as well as strategize and communicate on longer term complex solutions.
What You'll Do
- Manage and mentor a team of high-performing Systems Managers responsible for the product development lifecycle of many critical supply chain software applications
- Own team recruiting, continuous career development, and individual performance management
- Leverage deep industry expertise in supply chain systems and emerging technologies to drive innovation, establish best practices, and ensure the organization remains at the forefront of digital supply chain transformation
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for products in supply chain, identifying opportunities and aligning them with business operations and leadership goals
- Champion best practices of product development lifecycle including product requirement documentation, impact analysis, prioritization, user acceptance testing, and deployment
- Act as trusted partner and subject matter expert to cross functional operational organizations, including finance, legal, internal audit, vendor onboarding, and supply chain
- Partner with technical teams including data engineers, IT software engineers and product engineering to develop solutions to complex yet ambiguous strategic supply chain directives
What You'll Bring
- Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability (eg. Information Systems Management, Computer Science)
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with evidence of successful software product implementation throughout the software development lifecycle (e.g. software product manager)
- 5+ years as a team lead with evidence of managing recruiting, building career development plans and performance management evaluations
- Strong understanding of machine learning workflows, model evaluation, and data governance, with experience using SQL, or visualization tools to track metrics
- Experience working across and successfully influencing multiple internal stakeholders (IT development, supply chain, finance, legal, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with complex deadlines and large cross-functional stakeholder groups.
- Exceptional concise communications, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills

Expected Compensation
$132,000 - $276,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
