Remote Networking Supply Chain Sustainability Lead is needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client



Contract Duration: 6-12 months with possibility of extension



Job Description:

Out Client is seeking a Networking Supply Chain Sustainability is a key function in a differentiated operational organization that aspires to be the best in the business. This team is responsible for driving transformational change to the way we do business and driving the clients Networking business towards meeting its GHG Emissions, Circularity & Human Rights goals.



In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders as well as key suppliers and customers to define and execute an industry leading Supply Chain Sustainability strategy. Working with our IT and business teams, you will support and encourage the team-Networking and its value chain to prioritize sustainability performance desired by our key customers and stakeholders. Through your understanding of the industry and its end-to-end supply chains, you will identify emissions, materials and e-waste hotspots and appropriate reduction solutions.



Position Responsibilities

  • Manage and mature our risk-based sustainability program, serving as a strategic partner to corporate and operational teams. Key focus areas include GHG Emissions Accounting & Reporting, Circularity (use of recycled materials, 4R (reuse, repair, recycle, recover) and Advancement of Human Rights through our upstream supply chain.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise on climate issues (environmental impact and risk resilience), environmental sustainability priorities (energy, carbon, renewable energy, PUE, water, biodiversity, plastics, waste etc.), and familiarity with regulatory frameworks, especially in EU).
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage the clients positions on carbon accounting and green finance frameworks
  • Coordinate supplier outreach and follow-ups for key programs including Responsible Minerals, RBA audits, emission reductions, circularity requirements, and human rights due diligence.
  • Identify circularity best practices and socialize with internal and external stakeholders
  • Help develop internal policies and procedures to manage a wide variety of used, end-of-life, customer returned and/or scrapped electronic equipment
  • Engage with top customers, review their sustainability expectations and help develop a roadmap, working with internal teams,
  • Keep internal functions and stakeholders accountable to the milestones, alongside supporting them to achieve the clients sustainability commitments.
  • Maintain and update dashboards and tracking tools for sustainability KPIs, Audits, Supplier Maturity, and Compliance
  • Oversee component sustainability scorecard and mfg partner QBRs
  • Track and monitor RBA Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and document supplier progress.
  • Track smelter conformance and support supplier outreach to remove high?risk smelters.
  • Coordinate supplier trainings: invitations, materials, and participation tracking.
  • Assist with internal and customer?driven data requests, including materials needed by the teams.



Minimum Qualifications

  • Passionate about advancing sustainability in everything we do
  • Knowledge and awareness of high tech industry operational practices, accounting for fully outsourced supply chains, global emission profiles, waste management and circularity
  • A self-starter who excels in working both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams including Engineering, Sales, Customer Experience, Environment Health Safety and Security (EHSS), Compliance and Legal teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills for internal audiences at all levels and must possess the ability to establish interpersonal relationships and build trust with key collaborators. In short, a go-getter who can cross organizational boundaries to get things done!
  • Mastery over all aspects of project management skills including planning, budgeting, and prioritization.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in advancing sustainability within design, engineering and/or business fields
  • Experience with circular economy or design for the environmental principles
  • Ability to think strategically and implement tactically, a persistent attention to detail and a high level of comfort in working with numbers.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a continuously shifting environment.
  • Demonstrate dedicated initiative to identify process improvements and create and implement more efficient processes



Employment Pre-requisites

The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, and drug urinalysis.
