What You'll Do Loss Mitigation Review & Decisioning You will evaluate and process requests that help borrowers navigate financial hardship. Responsibilities include:
* Reviewing incoming loss mitigation requests from multiple channels. * Ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and investor-compliant. * Analyzing borrower financials and loan data to determine eligibility. * Escalating cases to investors when appropriate. * Communicating decisions to servicers clearly and on time. Customer & Investor Support You will serve as a knowledgeable resource for servicers, investors, and financial institutions: * Manage inquiries through ServiceNow and via phone calls on Microsoft Teams. * Deliver strong customer service with a focus on first-call resolution. * Document all interactions thoroughly and accurately. * Collaborate with your team to maintain coverage and reduce wait times. * Handle escalations efficiently and professionally. Mortgage Insurance Cancellation Management You will support mortgage insurance cancellation processes by: * Reviewing cancellation requests in eMAQCS Plus within required timelines. * Communicating outcomes to financial institutions. * Maintaining detailed and organized records of findings. * Completing weekly investor reports and updating a Microsoft Access database. * Prioritizing tasks to manage workload effectively. Reporting & Analytics Your analytical skills will support data-driven decision-making: * Preparing monthly and ad hoc reports for internal teams, investors, and financial institutions. * Validating data, identifying trends, and summarizing insights. * Coordinating with cross-functional partners to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Quality Control & Training As a subject matter expert, you will help drive high-quality underwriting practices: * Conduct quality control reviews on Xtra and Traditional loss mitigation files. * Train staff on best practices and underwriting expectations. * Support ongoing process improvements. What You Bring Top Skills & Experience * Loss mitigation experience (modifications, forbearance, repayment plans, deferrals, retention strategies). * Default or delinquency management experience, with understanding of the full lifecycle. * Mortgage servicing or loan operations background. * Ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and interpret delinquency reporting codes. * Experience handling escalations and communicating with internal/external stakeholders. * Customer service experience, including phone and email support (ServiceNow preferred). * Experience with ad hoc reporting and data analytics. Technical Skills * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, and Teams. * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access is highly preferred. * Strong understanding of system and technical concepts. * Ability to quickly learn proprietary systems, including MPF applications. Professional Competencies * Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * High integrity, dependability, and personal accountability. * Ability to manage ambiguous situations and work independently. * Proven time management and prioritization abilities. * Bachelor's degree preferred.
