Description We are seeking a highly skilled Audio-Visual Programming and Commissioning Engineer to join our engineering and integration team. This role focuses on the programming, configuration, and commissioning of professional audiovisual systems, ranging from small meeting spaces to large-scale and technically complex environments such as divisible conference facilities, training centers, lecture halls, theaters, and auditoriums. The ideal candidate will have strong experience programming AV control systems, configuring advanced DSP audio systems, and commissioning integrated AV environments that require high reliability, intuitive user operation, and premium audio performance. This position plays a critical role in transforming system designs into fully operational AV systems through control system programming, DSP configuration, system optimization, and final commissioning. ________________________________________ What You'll Work On Engineers in this role work on a wide range of AV environments and system types. Projects range from simple meeting spaces to highly complex multi-room installations requiring advanced programming and commissioning. Typical project environments include: * Corporate boardrooms and executive briefing centers * Divisible conference and training centers with automated room combining * Large training rooms and collaboration spaces with multiple displays and presentation systems * Lecture halls and higher education classrooms * Theaters, auditoriums, and performance venues * Government and municipal facilities Typical system components include: * Crestron and Extron control systems * Biamp and Q-SYS DSP platforms * Dante networked audio systems * Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms environments * PTZ cameras and video conferencing systems * Multi-display presentation systems and video switching platforms * Integrated microphone and loudspeaker systems for speech reinforcement and conferencing Engineers in this role are responsible for ensuring these systems are programmed, tuned, and commissioned to operate reliably and deliver exceptional audio and video performance. Skills commissioning, DSP Audio, Q-SYS, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Programming, Video conferencing, Audio, Audiovisual, Troubleshooting Top Skills Details commissioning,DSP Audio,Q-SYS,Biamp,Crestron,Extron,Programming,Video conferencing,Audio,Audiovisual,Troubleshooting Additional Skills & Qualifications Core Responsibilities Control System Programming * Develop and deploy Crestron control system programs including processors, touch panels, and control interfaces System Commissioning Perform full commissioning of AV systems following installation Technical Collaboration Work closely with AV system designers to review signal flow diagrams and programming requirements Documentation * Maintain organized programming documentation and version control Required Qualifications * Minimum 5 years of professional experience in audiovisual integration or AV system programming * Demonstrated experience programming Crestron control systems * Experience programming Extron control processors and control systems * Experience configuring Biamp Tesira DSP systems * Experience configuring QSC Q-SYS DSP and control environments * Strong understanding of AV signal flow, system architecture, and system commissioning * Experience working with network-based AV systems and IP device control * Strong troubleshooting skills for complex integrated AV environments * Strong documentation and system organization skills Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
