Battery Swap Technician (Traveling) - Entry Level Schedule: Monday-Friday travel, home every weekend Type: Fulltime, Entry Level Travel: Regional (surrounding states) - drive your own vehicle Per Diem: $50/day for food Pay: $20-25/hr. Overview We are seeking an entrylevel Battery Swap Technician looking to start a career in the data center and critical power industry. In this role, you will travel to customer sites throughout nearby states to replace and install UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) batteries in data centers, telecom facilities, and commercial environments. This position is ideal for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and interested in growing into data center or critical power roles longterm. Responsibilities * Travel to customer sites Monday-Friday (home on weekends) * Perform battery removal, replacement, and installation of UPS systems * Follow strict electrical and battery safety procedures (training provided) * Load, unload, and organize batteries and equipment * Perform labeling, documentation, and basic battery testing * Interact professionally with customers and represent the company well * Complete daily and weekly project reports * Communicate with team leads and project managers regularly Requirements * Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement if applicable) * Ability to travel Monday-Friday * Ability to lift 50-75 lbs routinely (batteries are heavy) * Comfortable working around electrical equipment * Must pass BGC and drug screening * Strong work ethic, detailoriented, and willing to learn Preferred (Not Required) * Experience in labor, warehouse, construction, electrical, or previous travel in a role * Interest in data centers or critical power systems * OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain What We Offer * $50/day per diem for food * Travel during weekdays with guaranteed weekends home * Full handson training provided * All tools and PPE supplied * Exposure to data centers and UPS power systems * Career growth into data center technician, cabling, or critical power roles * Paid for drive time Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, OH.
