Manufacturing Trainee

Our Manufacturing Training Program is a PAID intensive training program designed to provide you with the fundamental skills needed for a career in manufacturing.

What We Offer You:



  • This is an entry-level, full-time trainee position providing classroom and On-the-Job-Training (OJT)
  • This Manufacturing Training Program is PAID training
  • No tuition cost to the student
  • All training materials are provided by Penn United


Training will include in-person instructor-led, on-line curriculum, and On-Job-Training (OJT) in the following:



  • Shop Safety
  • Precision Machining Technology
  • Basic Math and Basic Blueprint Reading
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Precision Measurement
  • Basic Shop Machinery
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC)


Responsibilities:



  • Work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn manufacturing skills and apply knowledge learned to on-the-job work assignments
  • Report to work on time, ready to learn and accomplish tasks
  • Regularly attend Manufacturing Training Program classes and OJT
  • Meet all class assignment deadlines and standards
  • Work on the shop floor to learn required tasks, meeting leadership expectations
  • Perform general daily cleanup of work area


When and Where:



  • The Manufacturing Training Program is scheduled to begin in June 2026
  • In-classroom learning will be 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
  • Classroom training will be conducted at Penn United's Carl E. Jones Learning Institute, Cabot PA

Qualifications

Qualifications :

We can only accept 5 people into the training program. To be eligible for consideration:



  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must successfully pass aptitude assessment and interview
  • Must have strong mechanical ability, and math & problem-solving skills
  • A strong work ethic of dependability as demonstrated in regular attendance and punctuality
  • Must have the ability to work any combination of daylight, afternoon, and/or midnight shifts after initial classroom training is completed
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check
  • Some vocational-technical training preferred, not required
