Summary of Position

The Privacy team at Teladoc Health is responsible for enabling the company to innovate in digital health while protecting the privacy of our workforce and the members we serve.

The Director, Privacy sits within the Legal Department and reports directly to the Chief Privacy Officer. You will partner closely with Product, Marketing, Data and AI, and Engineering teams to build privacy into Teladoc's digital experiences from the start. This includes advising on the use of digital advertising and tracking technologies, AI tools, and other emerging technologies in healthcare environments where privacy expectations and regulatory requirements are especially high.

In this role, you will translate complex privacy requirements into clear, practical guidance that enables teams to move quickly while managing risk. You will help design scalable privacy guardrails that allow the business to innovate responsibly, particularly in areas involving digital marketing, data analytics, and new technology platforms.

You will also support the continued development of Teladoc's enterprise privacy program, helping communicate program performance, risks, and progress to senior leadership while partnering with business teams to implement privacy-by-design (PbD) across our products and services. You will influence how privacy is implemented across Teladoc's digital marketing and product ecosystems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Data & AI, and Engineering teams to embed privacy into Teladoc's digital products, marketing technologies, and customer experiences.
  • Provide practical privacy guidance on the use of digital advertising and tracking technologies (e.g., cookies, pixels, SDKs, tag managers, attribution tools) in healthcare environments.
  • Lead privacy assessments for new technologies, marketing initiatives, and data uses, translating regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for business and technical teams.
  • Support the development and execution of Teladoc's enterprise privacy program, including operational risk assessments, privacy-by-design initiatives, and program roadmap activities.
  • Lead preparation of privacy program reporting for the Enterprise Compliance Committee, including communicating key privacy wins and metrics to senior leadership.

The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Bachelor's degree required and 5-7 years of experience in privacy, data governance, or regulatory compliance within healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or CIPP/US, preferred but not required.
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystems and tracking technologies (e.g., cookies, pixels, SDKs, tag managers, attribution tools), including the privacy risks associated with their use in healthcare environments.
  • Experience assessing and mitigating privacy risks related to digital marketing technologies, analytics platforms, and emerging technologies such as AI.
  • Strong knowledge of major privacy frameworks and regulations, including HIPAA and U.S. consumer privacy laws.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex privacy requirements into clear, practical guidance for business and technical teams.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate privacy risks and program updates to senior leadership.

The base salary range for this position is$170,000 - $190,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2026.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only.
