Overview

The A&A Analyst provides AFRL Rocket Lab with assess and authorize (A&A) support within the cybersecurity function using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and serves as an advisor to the AFRL Rocket Lab's Information System Security Manager (ISSM) with regards to the application and implementation of the RMF within the AFRL Rocket Lab Zone D enclaves.

Responsibilities

    Apply RMF to the AFRL/RQ-West Test and Development Zone D systems.
  • Identify corrective actions/mitigation strategies to assess and sustain Zone D RMF compliance.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of security policy and procedures applicable to the specific Zone D Information Systems (IS).
  • Researches and analyzes current DOD, AFI, and any Command-level directives, guidelines, regulations, and policies that address INFOSEC and apply to AFRL/RQ-West Zone D enclave(s).
  • Support all related system lifecycle cybersecurity activities including, but not limited to, documentation that will be required because of significant architecture and design changes.
  • Develop and provide a monthly activity report summarizing A&A activities provided to AFRL/RQ-West. Summary must include tangible metric such as target systems and time spent on each.
  • Maintain configuration management (CM) of AFRL/RQ-West Zone D RMF packages.
  • Serve as the point of contact (POC) for all AFRL/RQ-West Zone D cybersecurity inspection.
  • Assist ISSM with investigation of all AFRL/RQ-West Zone D Cybersecurity incidents.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in system administration and/or technical support.
  • Knowledge and experience with RMF.
  • DOD 8140 IAM-I certification (CompTIA Security+CE).
  • ACAS experience preferred.
  • Minum of a DoD Interim Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
