Join our compassionate and highly skilled team as a Stuart House Therapist. Stuart House is an internationally recognized program and the child program of the Rape Treatment Center. We provide evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally centered services for children who have experienced sexual abuse and for their families.
As a Stuart House Therapist, you will deliver, evidence based, specialized therapeutic services that support healing, resilience, and recovery. Our program is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive environment where children and families receive comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Provide mental health services for children who are suspected victims of sexual abuse and for their non offending family members, including intake evaluations, comprehensive diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, and individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Deliver evidence based, trauma informed treatment to support recovery and resilience.
  • Provide follow up support and coordination of care for clients and families.
  • Complete required documentation and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Offer clinical supervision and training to students, as assigned.
  • Participate in the Rape Treatment Center/Stuart House 24 hour on call response system, providing telephone intake, in person advocacy, crisis intervention, accompaniment, and information/referral for victims and significant others presenting for emergency medical care or forensic examinations (1-2 weekday overnight shifts per month).
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, medical professionals, and other partner agencies as part of a multidisciplinary response.

Note: Only 1 position will be filled; either ref #29406 for a CA State Licensed Psychologist or ref #29407 for a CA State Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Pay Range: $58.54 - $77.20 hourly
Qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly competent professional who possesses:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D./Psy.D.) from an institution accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
  • State of California Clinical Psychologist license.
  • Experience providing traumainformed psychotherapy to children who are suspected victims of sexual abuse and to their families, including strong diagnostic and treatment skills for traumarelated symptoms.
  • Competence in conducting psychosocial and/or psychological evaluations with children and adolescents.
  • Advanced knowledge ofchild development complex trauma, evidence based treatment models, crisis intervention, sexual trauma, and problem sexual behaviors.
  • Experience working with individuals in crisis and with diverse populations across culture, ethnicity, and age.
  • Strong ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff.
  • Ability and willingness to work up to 2 overnight oncall shifts per month and meet a 30minute response time to our Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center when scheduled.

Preferred:

  • Experience providing supervision or training to students.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
