Description
Primary Purpose: The Enterprise Risk Analyst is responsible for assisting in the identification, management, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of risk throughout the Company. The Enterprise Risk Analyst reports to the ERM Manager and partners with the lines of business to execute key department activities and programs including the quarterly enterprise risk appetite statements, business process universe, risk and control self-assessment, issues management and escalation, new products and services risk assessments, and operational losses. Essential Duties:
- Develops, collects, and updates key risk indicators and control effectiveness assessments.
- Updates enterprise risk reporting, including top and emerging risks, audit and supervisory findings, and issues and escalation reporting.
- Assists in the coordination and development of risk reporting to the Enterprise Risk Management Committee of the Board and management risk committees.
- Assists in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ERM programs within the Governance, Risks, and Controls (GRC) Tool
- Identifies, documents, and risk rates processes in the business process universe.
- Develops and updates risk and control self-assessments, including maintenance of risk and control libraries, quarterly update of control assessments, and facilitation of control test plans.
- Facilitates the development of remediation plans to address identified risk issues.
- Produces quarterly reporting of issues and assists in the review of risk events to determine if an issue is present.
- Assists in the assessment of new strategic projects and other business changes through the Business Change Risk Assessment program.
- Performs root-cause analysis on operational losses and recommends internal control improvements.
- Maintains the effective challenge log and facilitates the documentation of ERM effective challenge activities.
- Maintains the ERM Policy, ERM Framework, Risk Appetite Framework, and other risk-focused program documentation.
- Assists in the development and delivery of training and communications on risk programs and processes.
Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 1-4 years of experience within enterprise risk programs and processes.
- 1-4 years of financial services or banking experience.
- 1-4 years of project management experience.
- Highly collaborative; able to build strong working relationships with business partners.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Intellectually curious; highly analytical.
- Excellent organization and analytical skills.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Experience in public accounting, audit, or professional services.
