Low Voltage / DAS Installation Technician Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage / DAS Installation Technician to support large-scale inbuilding wireless and low voltage infrastructure projects. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and support of distributed antenna systems (DAS) and related low voltage systems across a variety of environments. Scope of Work * Install and maintain inbuilding wireless systems, including DAS, IDAS/ODAS, public safety systems, fiber, and coax * Support both new construction and existing facilities, including campuses and multibuilding environments * Perform low voltage installation tasks such as rack and stack, dressing and labeling, and system cleanup * Work with coaxial and fiberbased DAS systems * Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and system verification * Interpret blueprints and construction drawings to lead and support job execution * Capture job photos, complete documentation, and report progress to project leadership Technical Experience * Hands-on experience with DAS, low voltage, voice, and data systems * Proficiency installing and terminating low voltage coax (including 1/2" coax) * Experience with fiber pulling and basic testing; terminating and splicing experience is a plus * Familiarity with common DAS and wireless equipment manufacturers and testing tools * Understanding of industry best practices for structured cabling and wireless infrastructure Team & Leadership * Work in small teams, typically serving as a lead technician with a helper * Provide light job leadership including task delegation and onsite coordination * Ensure quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met Travel Requirements * Must be open to regional and occasional outofstate travel (up to approximately 50% in peak periods) * Overnight travel may be required during certain project phases * Company vehicle provided for travel * Lodging and daily per diem provided when traveling overnight Schedule & Employment Details * Fulltime schedule, typically 40 hours per week * Overtime opportunities may be available * Longterm opportunity with potential for fulltime conversion after an initial contract period Qualifications * 2+ years of experience in wireless DAS OR low voltage installation * Strong understanding of coax and fiberbased systems * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Comfortable working in commercial, institutional, and campusstyle environments Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Timonium, MD. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
