Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks Evening Security Officer In-Charge (Full-Time) to serve as the security officer-in-charge in the absence of the Security Manager. The security officer-in-charge will play an essential role in the safe and successful operation of the hotel in the evening hours. Here is what you will be doing each day as an Evening Security Officer In-Charge (this is not the full list of duties):



  • Patrol the interior, perimeter, and parking garage of the hotel to observe and identify potential safety risks, security issues, and undesirable conditions.
  • Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fire and medical emergencies, and threats to life and/or property.
  • Be observant for suspicious persons entering or loitering in and around the property. Promote safe work practices.
  • Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed.
  • Write reports and ensure accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed.
  • Maintain daily activity logs and pass along relevant information to outgoing and incoming security personnel.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Monitors CCTV system.

Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals and effectively reporting safety hazards and concerns.



  • Valid & current NYS Security Guard License required
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • At least 2 years' experience in security/loss prevention required
  • Supervisory experience highly preferred

Qualifications
Experience
2 years: Valid & current NYS Security Guard License (required)
2 years: At least 2 years' experience in security/loss prevention required (required)
