Internal Audit Intern - Job Description Position Summary

The Internal Audit Intern will support the Internal Audit department in completing key activities related to risk assessment, internal controls, and operational reviews. This internship provides hands-on experience in auditing, financial analysis, and process evaluation within a dynamic business environment. Under the guidance of the Internal Audit leadership team, the intern will assist in performing testing, documentation, and analytical procedures that contribute to strengthening the organization's overall control environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the audit team in performing testing of internal controls, including SOX-related procedures.
  • Support walkthroughs and documentation of business processes.
  • Prepare workpapers that clearly reflect procedures performed and results obtained.
  • Help identify control gaps or process improvement opportunities.
  • Perform data analysis to support risk assessments and audit testing.
  • Assist with preparation of audit reports and presentations.
  • Participate in special projects, process reviews, and other audit activities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in internal audit, accounting, or risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problemsolving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new concepts.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
