Congenital Heart Surgeon The University of Virginia Department of Surgery, in collaboration with Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD), seeks a board-certified Congenital Heart Surgeon with a minimum of two years of post-training experience to join a growing pediatric cardiac surgery program. This position will be based at CHKD in Norfolk, Virginia, supporting a well-established and continuously expanding congenital cardiac surgery program through an ongoing partnership with the University of Virginia. The collaborative program is nationally recognized and ranked by U.S. News & World Report, performing more than 400 congenital cardiac surgeries annually. The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric cardiac patients. Qualifications

About Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) Surgeons perform more than 13,000 procedures annually across CHKD's pediatric surgical facilities. The hospital includes a 32-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and a 70-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), supported by an experienced neonatal and pediatric critical care transport service. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs.
