DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this Clerical Assistant 3 role, you will exercise independent judgment in evaluating initial, renewal, and reactivation licensure applications and determining eligibility to ensure compliance with the laws, regulations and Board's policies. This position evaluates and processes applications for:
- Broker examinations from graduates of real estate schools and colleges, and for the licensing of brokers, brokerage offices, associate brokers, rental listing referral agents, and cemeteries.
- Vehicle dealers, vehicle manufacturers, vehicle distributors, and vehicle auctions.
- Vehicle salespersons, vehicle representatives, real estate salespersons, cemetery salespersons, timeshare salespersons, campground membership salespersons, and builder-owner salespersons.
Work involves:
- Evaluating and validating application data for accuracy, completeness, and the presence of all required documents, inputting updated information into our database throughout the license issuance process.
- Responding to inbound phone calls and making outbound phone calls.
- Issuing licenses to applicants who have met all requirements, passed the inspection (as applicable), and are eligible for licensure.
- Developing, preparing, and distributing discrepancy notifications to applicants not meeting the licensure, certification, or authorization approval requirements.
- Interacting with applicants, licensing boards, bureaus, and state agencies to secure information pertaining to applicant licensure as needed.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work hours are negotiable.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50%, after a six-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
