MTSI is seeking an experienced
Senior Site Security Manager
(SSM) to lead security operations for the overall security (personal, physical, construction and accreditation of a multi-level secure facilities) in Lorton, VA. This role requires a proven leader with deep expertise in multi-disciplined security, compliance, and SCIF/SAPF.
The Senior Site Security Manager will serve as the primary security authority for several classified facilities, ensuring 100% compliance with federal, DoD, and IC security mandates. This role requires a strategic leader capable of managing complex security programs, including Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments, while acting as a key liaison to various government agencies.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO), maintaining the Facility Security Clearance (FCL) and overseeing all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
- Manage the lifecycle of Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF), from drafting Construction Security Plans (CSP) to final accreditation and continuous technical security monitoring
- Lead security oversight for the design, construction, accreditation, and operation of a new classified facility
- Review construction plans (blueprints, schematics) to assess vulnerabilities and recommend effective countermeasures
- Conduct regular self-inspections and risk assessments to identify gaps in physical, technical, or information security, implementing corrective actions immediately
- Prepare, process, and safeguard accreditation documentation for open storage
- Lead investigations into security violations and coordinate with federal authorities for incident reporting and mitigation
- Oversee the physical and technical security programs (including TEMPEST and TSCM).
- Perform CPSO and CSSO functions, ensuring SAP/SCI compliance.
- Lead site-wide security education, training, and awareness programs
- Validate and process SAP/SCI visitor clearances and accesses
- Build and maintain relationships with local, federal, and intelligence partners as well as private-sector security counterparts
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in collateral, SAP, and SCI security program management.
- Hands-on experience with SCIF/SAPF construction and accreditation.
- Thorough knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), ICD 705, and ICD 503.
- Proficiency in security databases including DISS, NBIS, and JADE
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated leadership presence.
- Ability to work independently in operational environments.
Desired Requirements:
- Formal ICD-705 training/education.
- Current or former Site Security Manager (SSM) certification.
- Certifications: FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities; ISP or ASIS CPP preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline (e.g., Security Studies, Criminal Justice, Engineering (Construction/Mechanical), or similar.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and prior SAP experience.
