Position Summary
BB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AI, Data Engineering, and Digital Engineering Support Professional to join our team, providing technical support in support of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center Facility Engineering Standards and Evaluation Branch (AFCEC/CFPT) located at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Lackland, TX. This position is a remote support position.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical, analytical, and advisory support in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), data engineering, and digital engineering capabilities to augment Subject Matter Expert (SME) support across AFCEC/CFTP mission requirements.
- Apply AI-enabled methods to enhance data collection, analysis, technical reviews, project delivery, and decision-making in support of facility design, construction, and programming activities across MILCON, FSRM, and UMMC programs.
- Develop, prototype, implement, and maintain AI-enabled tools, applications, and automation solutions within approved Government systems and environments, including but not limited to CE DASH, DISDI, GeoBase, Kahua, and other authorized platforms. All AI-enabled services shall be performed in compliance with DoD, DAF, and AFCEC cybersecurity, data governance, and Responsible AI (RAI) policies.
- Provide AI-Enabled CMIS Project Management Support
- Apply AI-enabled analytics to evaluate CMIS data for trends in cost, schedule, and performance
- Develop predictive models to identify project risks, delays, and cost growth
- Support integration of CMIS data with DISDI, GeoBase, and Kahua
- Develop automation tools to streamline workflows, reporting, and data validation
- Establish data standards to support AI-enabled CMIS operations
- Travel to various Air Force bases on temporary duty, as well as infrequent trips to HQ AFCEC for in-person meetings
Requirements
Key Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC is required
- Knowledge:
o In-depthknowledge of federal, state, and/or local regulations and statutes, Department of the Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations o Demonstrated technical expertise for criteria development and review including Engineering Technical Letters; UFC; UFGS; and AFI, pamphlets and handbooks
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Software: Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously
Experience & Education
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in applying AI, data engineering, and digital engineering to solve complex problems. Demonstrated experience in the full lifecycle of AI solution development, including prototyping, implementation, and maintenance of AI-powered tools and applications.
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or Statistics is required.

- Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Ability to understand the speech of another person, speak clearly so listeners can understand, and talk or hear both in person and by telephone
