Security Officer - Armed Association Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Association Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will drive through assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns, support residents and guests, and maintain a highly visible presence. You will communicate clearly, respond to incidents, and document activity with professionalism and integrity. This post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential community amenities, roadways, parking areas and/or perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor and help to control access at community entry points by verifying credentials, logging activity as required and/or directing visitors to proper destinations.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity and/or resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear incident reports, patrol logs and/or other required documentation; communicate observations and follow-up needs to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid armed guard card and unarmed guard card is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as an armed officer, law enforcent, corrections or military.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
