Description Job Title: Material Handler Location: On-Site, Melbourne, FL Employment Type: Contract to Hire Industry: Defense & Aerospace Compensation: $17.00/hr Shift: 1st Schedule: 7:00am-4:30pm, Mom-Fri, 9/80 About the Opportunity Acara is currently seeking a Material Handler for our client, a leading organization in the defense & aerospace sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while developing your professional expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping, receiving and cycle counting. Key Responsibilities Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to identify materials to transport Open containers using steel cutters, a crowbar, a claw hammer, or other hand tools Load materials to and from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand Load materials to and from vehicles Use hand tools to install strapping, bracing, or padding to protect materials in transit Transport materials from storage or worksites to designated areas-including the manufacturing floor-by use of hand truck, electric dolly, or another device Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system Attach tags or labels to materials (or otherwise mark information) Benefits (if applicable) Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance Holiday pay (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day) Why Work With Acara Acara is a premier provider of recruiting and workforce solutions-we help companies compete for talent.
