Job Summary: The Manager, Government Operations provides administrative and strategic support to the ISSG partners with the desired outcome of assisting in achieving the vision, mission, and goals of the consolidated Government Services practice. The primary focus of the position will be to assist in driving the financial performance and strategic initiatives of the consolidated practice with a focus on follow through, execution, and accountability while simultaneously reducing the administrative burden on existing leadership. Job Duties:
- Financial Management and Operations:
- Drives and supervises financial operations of the practice including, but not limited to, financial reporting & budgeting, billing, revenue, subcontractor management, accounts receivable, forecasting, and new employee onboarding
- Builds trusting relationships with Practice Leaders such that successful strategic actions executed in one practice area, office or region can be shared with other offices and regions
- Streamlines processes and procedures and works with project managers and leaders to effectively manage engagements
- Develops and maintains reports on a daily basis-related to Metrics/Realization rates, engagement economics, and pipeline
- Oversees and develops internal processes including, but not limited to, CRM and project set-up
- Works closely with the Government Services PMO to ensure staff utilization and engagement metrics
- Monitors monthly financial results in real time, alerting leadership to potential or actual forecast discrepancies
- Supports leadership in monitoring and taking strategic actions to evaluate the Government practice client portfolio, including stratifying clients based on revenue and services provided as well as monitoring profitability by client in addition to other key performance indicators
- Monitors relative practice, office and region productivity and where discrepancies are identified; works with the PMO to remedy
- Works with BDO's Core Business Service professionals in finance to standardize and streamline reporting
- Communication:
- Attends office visits within the practice including those within the Government Services practice, as needed
- Effectively communicates with leaders, project teams, and staff to ensure that information is clear, concise and effectively executed
- People:
- Assists Government Services Practice Leaders and National Practice Leader with monitoring practice area, office and region level personnel relative to the forecast
- Tracks subcontractors contracts and invoices
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education:
- Bachelor's degree, required; degree with a focus in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, preferred
Experience:
- Eight (8) or more years in business process, project management, and solution implementation, required
- Experience in finance and/or consulting, preferred
- Industry experience in government consulting, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
Software:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, required
- Prior experience in CRM, preferred
- Prior experience in financial systems, including but not limited to Oracle, Unanet or OneStream, preferred
Language(s):

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business and report writing

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. California Range: $125,000 - $145,000
