Job Overview:

Paper Machinery Corporation is currently seeking a Conversational Mill Operator to join our skilled machine shop team. This position is ideal for candidates who are proficient in operating vertical or horizontal CNC mills in a high-precision, low-volume environment. Candidates must understand engineering drawings, GD&T, fixturing techniques, and basic G/M code programming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings with a solid grasp of GD&T.
• Operate vertical and horizontal CNC mills; change and manage tooling.
• Use non-programmable measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) for inspection.
• Implement proper fixturing and work holding for accuracy and repeatability.
• Debug new programs and perform first-piece validation checks.
• Apply strong machining fundamentals to maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience operating CNC mills in a precision machining environment.
• Understanding of G and M Code programming.
• Conversational programming required.
• Strong measuring and inspection skills.
• Familiarity with fixturing, tooling, and shop math.
