Survey Field Lead - SL0426 * Operate and maintain survey equipment (GPS, total stations, data collectors, levels) * Collect, process, and verify field data for field-to-finish workflows and perform and oversee survey layout, boundary, and elevation work for construction projects * Perform calculations including traverses, level loops, and adjustments * Maintain accurate field notes, sketches, and documentation * Download and process data into CAD software (Civil 3D preferred) * Review and assist with survey drawings, linework, and surface models * Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams * Lead and supervise survey crew members * Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures Qualifications and Education Requirements * Bachelor's degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field (must qualify for PLS exam) * 3-5+ years of surveying experience, including crew leadership * Strong knowledge of construction surveying practices * Commitment to obtaining PLS licensure * Proficiency with survey equipment and data collection workflows * Ability to read and interpret construction plans * Strong communication and organizational skills * Must have a valid driver's license and provide 3-year motor vehicle record which meets the minimum operating standards in accordance with SBCC vehicle operation policy. * Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment. * Must meet SBCC's employment standards regarding background checks. * Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force regularly to move objects. * Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds. * Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time. * Flexible availability to include work hours needed to meet schedule, including nights, and weekends. * Work environments will vary, making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain and extreme temperatures. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc. | |
