(Remote)Project Manager - Design and Development

A Remote Project Manager/Leader job currently available at Belcan. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field and 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry or other technology space. In this role you will be the project manager for large cross-functional and potentially cross-company engineering projects or systems for our customers.

Capture / Pre-Award

Manage the development of new or revised proposals for potential or existing projects that s/he will be responsible for.
Interface with customers to define project requirements and deliverables.

Initiation / Contracting

Perform contract review upon receipt of new or revised funding and collaborate with the customer on resolution of any issues related to the contract.
Provide overall project leadership, while building cross-functional teams.
Lead team ickkoff meetings

Planning

Lead team in the development of project scope, or develop it independently.
Document a project quality plan. Interpret the project scope through the development of equipment lists, flowsheets, layouts, or logic descriptions, and lead their development or refinement.
Establish the project team and communicate effectively to ensure understanding of technical requirements.
Develop and execute detailed resource and project plans.

Execution

Provide leadership of teams of engineers/architects and designers to accomplish project tasks.
Coordinate between disciplines, vendors, and field.
Drive the successful execution of projects and report results to Belcan and customer leadership.

Monitoring & Control

Monitor project progress to ensure product is delivered on time, on budget, and with technical excellence.
Manage changes to the project work scope and budget.
Enforce compliance with contract terms, the project quality plan, project directives, statutory/regulatory requirements, and applicable Belcan procedures.
Review project charges and approve them for billing.
Ensure proper project hygiene in relevant databases.

Closeout / Customer Success

Ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in customer feedback process

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar
* Ten or more years of experience in the aerospace industry or other technology vertical
* 5 years of experience successfully managing complex engineering projects, a minimum of five major projects from start to finish.
* Experience using project management tools and elements
* Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed technical and program goals on multiple projects
* Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
* Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
* Prior experience as a Project/Program Leader on large multiyear projects with budgets over $2M.
* Experience outside of engineering, in other functions such as technology development, manufacturing, and procurement.
* Experience in one or more of the following: gas turbines, aerospace, power generation, medical devices, heavy equipment.
* Experience securing external funding from the US Government or other external funding sources.
Experience operating under ASD9100 or ISO9001 QMS guidelines

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $83,200 to $104,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.'
