Department OverviewMotorola Solutions, Inc. Job Description
  • Plan, develop and coordinate activities focused on the design and implementation of advanced communication systems based on customer requirements.
  • Design, integrate and upgrade advanced communications systems using Microwave, Radio Frequency, Wireless Communications, and/or IP Networking technologies.
  • Perform RF propagation studies to design system coverage, develop equipment lists for the system design and develop system design documentation.
  • Responsible for overall technical system design in both pre-sale and post-sale.
  • Lead the technical design for Request for Proposal responses.
  • Interact with State and local government public safety officials and end-users to define and confirm system requirements.
  • Perform the design of subsystems containing equipment manufactured by Motorola Solutions and third parties.
  • Interact with Motorola Solutions and third-party technical staff to finalize subsystem and design plan all system implementation activities.
  • Compile equipment lists for review and ordering processes.
  • Assist with order tracking and inventory management.
  • Tour customer facilities to confirm requirements unique to system design.
  • Facilitates system installation and configuration, ensuring conformance with design specifications.
  • Develop and conduct acceptance test procedures to confirm system functionality complies with the design and customer requirements.
  • 25% travel within the United States.
