| Essential Job Duties |
The Business Services Coordinator position serves as a central support role anchoring day-to-day business operations within the JC Raulston Arboretum (
JCRA). The employee provides administrative, operational, and customer-service support to ensure efficient coordination of activities, effective use of resources, and a positive experience for internal and external stakeholders.
In this role, you will be at the center of daily operations, supporting financial tracking, coordinating logistics, and serving as a key point of contact for visitors, partners, and internal teams. You will help ensure the Arboretum runs smoothly by organizing information, supporting leadership, and delivering responsive, professional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor financial and operational activity, track expenditures, and prepare summaries to support leadership decision-making
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure alignment with university and unit guidelines
- Serve as a front-line contact by responding to inquiries and providing timely, professional customer service to visitors, partners, and stakeholders
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and events, including scheduling, space coordination, and materials preparation
- Support day-to-day operations by identifying routine issues, resolving or escalating as appropriate, and maintaining clear communication with internal teams
- Provide administrative support to the Director, including calendar coordination, meeting scheduling, and travel logistics (itineraries, documentation, and scheduling alignment)
- Contribute to operational continuity by organizing information, supporting workflow coordination, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Demonstrated experience managing concurrent priorities or projects with competing deadlines
- Experience tracking, reconciling, or summarizing financial or operational data with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong written communication skills, including drafting professional correspondence or summaries for both broad audiences
- Experience coordinating meetings or events involving multiple stakeholders (e.g., scheduling, logistics, materials)
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, customer-facing environment
