The Head of Applied AI will lead the strategy, delivery, and governance of enterprise AI solutions and tools across the company. This leader will work across engineering and business teams to translate enterprise needs into scalable AI solutions while ensuring they align with Marvell's enterprise AI platform, data ecosystem, and governance framework. The role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on engagement to ensure AI capabilities evolve in a structured, reusable, and operationally sound way across the enterprise.Questions To Answer In This Section: * What can't Marvell do if they do not have this team to execute? * What projects is this team responsible for delivering? What You Can Expect * Define and drive Marvell's Applied AI strategy across enterprise AI tools, internal applications, and emerging AI-enabled workflows. * Lead the development and delivery of enterprise AI solutions including internal AI applications, copilots, and knowledge platforms such as Glean. * Establish a structured intake and prioritization framework for AI use cases across business teams and guide solutions from exploration through production deployment. * Ensure AI solutions are built in alignment with the enterprise AI platform, including agentic orchestration capabilities, context management systems, and model infrastructure. * Continuously assess existing AI solutions using observability and operational metrics to optimize, refactor, or decompose capabilities for cost efficiency, scalability, and reuse. * Promote architectural patterns that enable reusable AI capabilities and 'skills' that can be leveraged across multiple enterprise workflows. * Define and implement the operational governance framework for applied AI, including solution intake, evaluation processes, lifecycle management, and usage transparency. * Partner with Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure responsible AI adoption and enterprise risk management. * Guide enterprise decisions around build vs. buy for AI tools and technologies while preventing uncontrolled tool sprawl. * Stay current with developments in the applied AI ecosystem and evolve Marvell's enterprise AI strategy accordingly. * Partner with platform engineering teams to ensure applied AI needs influence the evolution of enterprise AI platform services. * Build and lead the Applied AI organization as the enterprise AI program grows, including hiring and mentoring engineers, solution architects, and governance specialists. What We're Looking For 12+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML systems, enterprise platforms, or applied AI solutions. * Experience leading cross-functional engineering or product teams delivering complex enterprise technology solutions. * Strong understanding of modern AI technologies including large language models, RAG architectures, agent-based systems, and enterprise AI platforms. * Experience defining operational frameworks or governance practices for emerging technologies in enterprise environments. * Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions. * Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 190,280 - 285,000, $ per annumThe successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
