| Position Purpose |
To set up and conduct a variety of laboratory tests and experiments in support of research studies directed by applying established methods, procedures, and techniques; and to serve on a research team involved in the investigation of lung infections and how microbes adapt to the host using genetics and microbiology. The position may involve interacting with other research groups through a role in the Translational Research Core which analyzes clinical samples relevant to lung infections, including those associated with cystic fibrosis. Opportunities for publication, participation in seminars and meetings, and other professional development opportunities are available. |

Competence in several laboratory methods, procedures, and techniques as well as the equipment and instruments. Willingness to work with/be exposed to hazardous materials infectious materials and/or hazardous chemicals. Knowledge of computers and software applications. Interesting in learning about the research questions in the lab group. |
