Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Unit Admin/Specialist Casual for the School of Nursing. The Unit Admin/Specialist Casual is a critical member of the department of Student Engagement and Wellbeing, supporting the Assistant Dean and the staff to fulfill the department's mission of providing excellent service to all School of Nursing students through various forms of communication for all four sites of Student Engagement and Wellbeing's staff and students and the community of Rutgers University. This position reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Engagement and Wellbeing, with a dotted line reporting to the Senior Vice Dean, and is responsible for managing the processes for the department including the following: budget management, budget tracking, operations for event planning, room reservations, facilities request and work orders, confidential students of concern, benchmarking, preparing important files for meetings, compiling data, and managing complex calendars.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Provides support for regularly scheduled in-service training programs and retreats related to professional development and leadership development for students.
- Assures the confidentiality of this process, and monitors that the process is working well with the external reviewers.
- Provides executive support to the department of Student Engagement and Wellbeing (full and part-time) by preparing items to process reports, being the primary contact for website updates, and disseminating information to faculty, staff and to the students.
- Coordinates events and appropriate logistics (venue, ordering food, coordinating audio/visual needs, drafting and distributing invitations, tracking RSVPs), as well as communicates with faculty, staff, students and guests, and vendors in planning special events.
- Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope. Uses judgment within defined practices and procedures.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience and up to two years of relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.

- Experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of administrative and office management responsibilities and execution in the collegiate student services domain.
