Curious and innovative problem solvers looking for the chance to meaningfully shape the future of cardiac health, our company, and your career About This Role: Position Title: Head of Strategic Finance & Investor Relations Reports To: SVP of Finance and Investor Relations Type: Full-time Position Summary The Head of Strategic Finance & Investor Relations is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for leading investor relations and supporting corporate development through deal evaluation and M&A financial modeling. This leader partners cross-functionally with the C-suite, FP&A, corporate development, legal, and communications to deliver insights and articulate the company's financial story and vision to external stakeholders, including investors and analysts. Key Responsibilities
- Investor Relations Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive investor relations strategy to effectively communicate the company's financial performance, strategy, and value proposition
- Serve as primary liaison with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and the broader investment community
- Lead quarterly earnings calls and key investor events (e.g., investor conferences, non-deal roadshows), including end-to-end planning, run-of-show, speaker prep, and day-of logistics
- Own the development, accuracy, and maintenance of core investor materials (earnings deck, IR presentation, fact book/Q&A, KPI definitions, scripts/talking points) in partnership with the SVP Finance, FP&A, Legal, and Communications
- Drive cross-functional IR workback plans and production calendars for major milestones (e.g., J.P. Morgan Conference, Annual Proxy, Investor Day, etc), coordinating inputs, reviews, approvals, and deadlines across Finance, Legal, Communications, and the executive team
- Monitor investor sentiment, analyst coverage, and peer company performance to inform strategic decisions
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and disclosure requirements (for public companies)
- Strategic Finance Leadership
- Lead strategic finance analyses that support investor messaging and enterprise decision-making, in close partnership with FP&A
- Lead development of the equity story and investment thesis for current and prospective investors
- Partner with Corporate Strategy/Development to evaluate strategic initiatives and M&A opportunities. Own end-to-end deal modeling and valuation for M&A and other corporate development opportunities, including building accretion/dilution, synergy, and returns frameworks and supporting diligence
- Establish and track key performance indicators that align with investor expectations and company strategy
- Executive Partnership & Communication
- Partner directly with C-suite executives to prepare for investor interactions and board meetings
- Brief executive team and board of directors on investor feedback, market dynamics, and shareholder composition
- Collaborate with legal, communications, and marketing teams on external messaging and disclosure strategies
- Act as strategic advisor to business units on initiatives that impact investor perception
- Team & Function Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing team across strategic finance and investor relations functions
- Establish best practices and processes for strategic analysis, deal modeling, and investor communications, with clear operating rhythms and handoffs to/from FP&A
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in financial reporting and investor engagement
- Mentor and develop talent across the broader finance organization
- Foster culture of analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement
- Market Intelligence & Analysis
- Monitor capital markets, industry trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategy
- Analyze shareholder composition and trading patterns to optimize targeting efforts
- Track and report on consensus estimates, analyst recommendations, and peer valuations
- Provide regular updates on macroeconomic factors affecting the business and investor sentiment
Qualifications Education and Experience
- 12-15+ years of progressive experience in investor relations and/or strategic finance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in investor relations or extensive investor-facing experience
- Proven track record in a public company environment
- Medtech and/or healthcare experience within a payer-reimbursed, highly regulated environment (e.g., FDA-regulated products, reimbursement dynamics, and disclosure sensitivity)
Technical and Functional Expertise
- Expert-level financial modeling and valuation skills
- Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS, SEC reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Working knowlrdge of healthcare reimbursement and payer dynamics (e.g., coverage, coding, payment) and how regulatory/comercial milestones impact guidance, KPIs, and invester communications
- Experience with financial planning systems, CRM platforms, and IR technology solutions
- Comprehensive knowledge of capital markets, equity valuation methodologies, and investor behavior
- Experience managing credit ratings process and debt investor relations
Leadership and Communiation Skills
- Executive presence with ability to represent the company to external stakeholders
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking experience
- Proven ability to distill complex financial information into clear, compelling narratives
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Strong relationship-building skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders

Location: Remote - US
Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
