Litigation Support Technician

Job Purpose:

The Litigation Support Technician provides technical and analytical support to litigation teams by managing electronic evidence, preparing trial materials, and supporting courtroom technology operations. This role is responsible for processing and organizing electronically stored information (ESI), creating visual exhibits and presentations, and ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of data used in legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will have experience with litigation support tools, e-discovery platforms, and trial presentation software, and will play a key role in supporting attorneys during trials, hearings, and depositions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare graphs, tables, charts, indices, videos, transcripts, and other computerized graphics for use by the ACE litigation team for trials, hearings, depositions, and presentations.
  • Provide technology support at trials, hearings, depositions and presentations. This includes managing exhibits and computerized graphics during trials, hearings, depositions and presentations.
  • Obtain, install, integrate, test and maintain equipment, cabling and software.
  • Evaluate and develop methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use typically with COTS products and litigation support applications. Must be able to ensure the accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion by performing and documenting quality and accuracy checks.
  • Organize and index various evidence exhibits for trial, depositions, hearings and presentations.
  • Produce a variety of written documents and materials utilizing a wide range of office software applications. For example, integrating output from different software types, e.g., tables produced by database applications and charts and graphs produced by electronic spreadsheet applications, into word processing or desk top publishing text.
  • Process and maintain all of the ESI received from relators, defendants, third parties, and experts on all ACE cases so that ESI can be reviewed and manipulated as required. This includes processing ESI and sending it out to agents, relators, and experts in reviewable formats. This also includes processing and preparing ESI for production to opposing parties.


Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a litigation or trial support environment.
  • Experience supporting trials, hearings, depositions, or legal presentations.
  • Proficiency with litigation support and document management tools (e.g., CaseMap, IPRO, Relativity, Eclipse, or similar).
  • Experience with e-discovery platforms (e.g., Nuix, LAW Pre-Discovery, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with trial presentation and visualization tools (e.g., TrialDirector, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with video editing software (e.g., Camtasia, Pinnacle Studio, or similar).
  • Strong ability to process, organize, and manage electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to perform data validation and quality checks.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
