Position Summary

The Program Administrator, Silver Student Experience supports the design coordination and execution of initiatives utilizing Silver's five core pillars that strengthen belonging, community life/engagement, and career readiness across co-curricular student experiences at the Silver School of Social Work. Reporting to the Director of Student Experience & Career Readiness, this role manages operational workflows and transition-based programming (e.g. Orientation, mid-point experiences, Graduation). The Program Administrator will collaborate across Silver and the University to ensure an integrated, student-centered experience aligned with social work values and CSWE competencies.



Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Higher Education, Social Work, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or related fields.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree MSW, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or related fields.

Required Experience:
2+ years Experience in student support, project coordination, transition programming (orientation/graduation), and operational excellence.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years experience in a University Life unit, or student experience-focused environment. Experience supporting career design, graduation planning, and assessment and evaluation tools.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong organizational, planning, communication and project coordination skills. Ability to navigate complex student-facing environments with discretion, humility, and clarity. Understanding of social work mission, core values, and CSWE competencies. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse students, faculty, and colleagues with relational awareness. Proficiency with advanced technological systems, standard office software, and communications tools. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information responsibly. Ability to manage multiple priorities with clarity and follow-through.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Background or training in adaptive leadership, dialogue facilitation, or restorative practices. Clear understanding of concepts related to belonging and flourishing student success frameworks. Familiarity with local, regional, and national social work organizations and resources. Familiarity with student development, belonging, and engagement frameworks. Understanding of implicit curriculum and co-curricular learning design. Knowledge of social work organizations and professional pathways. Integrity, empathy, and professionalism. Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Commitment to student well-being and success Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
