Position: Clinical Supervisor, Psychiatric Emergency Services Location: Boston Medical Center - South, Behavioral Health Schedule: 40 hours, Days POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Supervisor oversees and supervises Master's-level clinicians providing psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and support to patients in the Boston Medical Center South Emergency Department. This role is responsible for the administrative and clinical management of daily operations, including staff scheduling, workflow oversight, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. Working under general direction, the Clinical Supervisor provides mentorship, clinical guidance, and backup support to staff, and is accountable for contributing to hiring, supervision, and performance management in collaboration with the Director of Behavioral Health Access. The role applies evidence-based clinical techniques to consult on, assess, and intervene with high-risk patients and families, addressing complex emotional and social needs. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Clinical Supervisor maintains a direct care component, delivering psychiatric emergency services through individual and family interventions to support patient stabilization and care outcomes. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required At least 3 years of previous supervisory experience required Experience providing behavioral health care in a medical setting preferred CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Requires a current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Mental Health Counselor licensure KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Compensation Range: $61,500.00- $89,500.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
