Job Description The EH&S Compliance & Training Coordinator supports the organization's environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) compliance efforts by coordinating and managing employee training programs through a Learning Management System (LMS). This role ensures employees receive required regulatory and job-specific training, maintains accurate compliance records, and supports EH&S initiatives across Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBAD) sites. Working closely with the Manager of Safety & Regulatory Compliance, EH&S teams, Operations, Human Resources, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), this position helps maintain regulatory readiness and promotes a strong culture of safety and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Coordination:
- Coordinate and schedule employee training, including regulatory, refresher, and job-specific qualification training.
- Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and requalification schedules within the LMS and related databases.
- Monitor training completion and address overdue or upcoming training requirements.
- Partner with SMEs to develop, update, and distribute training materials aligned with current procedures and regulatory standards.
- Support instructor-led training sessions including logistics, materials, attendance tracking, and assessments.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and support continuous improvement initiatives.
EHS Compliance Support:
- Assist in maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA, ATF, DOT, DCMA, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain EH&S documentation, records, permits, and reports to support regulatory and company compliance.
- Support internal and external inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
- Track corrective actions and assist with ensuring timely closure.
Safety & Environmental Program Support:
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of EH&S programs including hazard communication, lockout/tagout, PPE, chemical safety, emergency preparedness, and ergonomics.
- Support routine safety inspections, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analyses, and injury/illness reporting.
- Support environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste management, chemical inventory tracking, recycling, spill response, and vendor coordination.
- Assist with hazardous waste pickups to ensure proper labeling, storage, and manifest documentation.
Reporting & Collaboration:
- Prepare reports and metrics related to training compliance and EH&S program performance.
- Communicate safety expectations, regulatory updates, and training requirements across departments.
- Partner with EH&S, HR, and Operations leadership to promote a safe, compliant, and well-trained workforce.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Training, Education, Business Management, Human Resources, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with learning management systems or compliance databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience supporting EH&S compliance, training coordination, or a regulated manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state environmental and safety regulations.
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, or regulatory reviews.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and EHS management systems.

Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction in operational or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to walk facility floors, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional flexibility may be required to support training sessions or audits outside normal business hours.
Compensation: Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
