Summary of Job Duties:The Behavioral Health Provider (BHP) functions as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team within an Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) model embedded in a college health setting. The BHP provides brief, evidence-based behavioral health interventions, consultation, and care coordination to support the mental, emotional, and physical health of college students.

This role emphasizes whole-person, population-based care and early intervention, addressing developmental, academic, social, and health-related stressors common in a student population. The BHP works in a fast-paced, consultative model rather than traditional long-term psychotherapy, focusing on functional improvement, resilience-building, health behavior change, and support of medical treatment plans. Must obtain and maintain licensure in the state of Arkansas in relevant discipline; and other duties as assigned by CAPS leadership. The position has routine shift hours, infrequent overtime, or shift rotation.

This position holds significant responsibility as a "remote essential" role. In challenging situations such as inclement weather or emergencies, when the Pat Walker Health Center or campus needs to close, CAPS psychologists will be on standby to serve the campus community through telehealth if deemed clinically appropriate.

The decision to continue with telehealth sessions will depend on clinical appropriateness, client preference, and availability of resources. Our primary goal is to ensure continued access to quality mental healthcare during unexpected closures.

To be fully prepared for such events, all staff members must take their UA-issued laptops home nightly during the work week and each weekend. This way, they can readily assist with client access and telehealth services if CAPS is unexpectedly closed during the following business day. By functioning cohesively as a team, CAPS staff will ensure that counseling and IBH services remain accessible to our UA community with each team member sharing this responsibility.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:
