Job Description:

The Facilities Projects and Sustaining Engineer is responsible for leading the design, operation, and optimization of mechanical systems that support semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of critical infrastructure such as HVAC, ultrapure water, chemical delivery, exhaust systems, scrubbers, CDA and steam boilers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply knowledge of HVAC, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical system design to resolve complex challenges, maintain and improve mechanical systems including chilled water, exhaust, process cooling, scrubber systems, CDA (Clean Dry Air), steam boilers and chemical distribution.

  • Lead capital and sustaining projects involving mechanical infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and tool install readiness.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical system failures or performance deviations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, maintenance, and EHS to support operational goals and ensure system reliability.

  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation including P&IDs, specifications, SOPs, and system performance reports.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, OSHA, local building codes).

  • Interface with contractors and vendors for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems.

  • Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives related to mechanical infrastructure.

  • Participate in site readiness activities for new tool installations and facility expansions.
