Production Technician 1st shift - Burr Ridge, IL

We have an opportunity for a Production Technician to join our Burr Ridge, IL team. You will be responsible for assembling, testing, and preparing specialized valve insertion and line stopping equipment used in water and wastewater infrastructure. This role involves hands-on manufacturing, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring safety in a fast-paced environment.

You will:

  • Assemble, test, and package Hydra-Stop's proprietary products, including valve insertion and line stopping tools.
  • Perform rigorous inspection of parts and assemblies to ensure they meet engineering specifications before shipping.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment and troubleshoot production bottlenecks.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Maintain accurate records for production logs, material tracking, and quality reports.
  • Work with engineering and team leads to improve manufacturing efficiency.

Key Qualifications:

  • 6 months of recent manufacturing experience
  • Understand safety regulations including OSHA standards and adhere to them
  • Proficiency in mechanical work and tool usage such as wrenches and other hand tools.
  • Standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 40lbs
  • Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork environment

Shift/Hours:

  • 1st shift: 5:00am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this role is: $21.50/hr. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
