The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job overview:

Is responsible for the sleep center operations during the course of their shift, such as answering the phones and any other pertinent clerical duties. Performs standard and complex polysomnographic recordings and monitors physiological phenomena throughout such procedures. Performs any procedure within their scope of practice, such as multiple sleep latency testing, maintenance of wakefulness studies, archiving patient studies and documentation of any issues regarding equipment, supplies, and patient incidents,

Participates and is instrumental in new employee orientation. If qualified, they can perform scoring under the discretion of the Sleep Center Manager/ Coordinator.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • New Jersey Polysomnographic license required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered EEG Technician with Sleep experience,
  • BLS required.

Preferred:

  • Scoring knowledge is strongly desirable.
  • Two to Five years previous patient care or experience in a health-related environment are required.
  • Experience with pediatric and adult populations.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per diem Nights

Essential Functions:

  • Perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation

  • Respond to sleep patients' procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate education utilizing sleep center specific protocols

  • Adhere to sleep center policies and procedures

  • Inspect and maintain sleep study related equipment and inventory

  • Review and evaluate sleep studies and provide appropriate feedback to staff

  • Assist the medical director, clinical director and/or manager in all aspects of sleep center operations.
