IT Security Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solutions Engineer for a position located in Plano, TX, Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Information Technology professionals within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
• Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
• Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration
• Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve
• Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience
• Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
• Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Communication, Information Technology or related engineering fields
• Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in relevant areas, particularly in financial domains
• 5 years of hands-on job skills
• Hands-on expertise in creating, using, and debugging Terraform code and configurations
• Experience with DEVOPS/CLOUDOPS with provisioning and config management technologies
• Hands-on expertise in Ansible Playbook and XLR
• Hands-on expertise on Windows and RHEL Operating Systems as a SysAdmin
• Competitive Windows SysAdmin and IIS Admin skills
• Knowledge to manage data on RDBMS (includes data analytics)
• PowerShell scripting experience
• Application Container Knowledge (.NET/IIS)
• Experience with JAVA Full Stack Development on UNIX & Windows
• Experience with automation on Windows (PowerShell, Bladelogic, etc)
• Ability to plan, design, create programs, and document through AGILE framework
• Ability to design and develop application and architectural solutions for complex technology problems
• Must be able to work during onshore hours: 1 PM - 9 PM ET

Desired skills:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Project development and leadership skills
• Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
• Up-to-date understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
• Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes

Pay range: $70.25 - $78.25 per hour
