Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Fort Payne, AL
Employment Type: Contract (8 months)
Industry: Manufacturing
Compensation: $38.00 /hr.
Schedule: 36 hrs/Week. - (1 st shift)
About the Opportunity:
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of electrical components in accordance with drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Apply nondestructive examination (NDE) techniques, including:
    1. Penetrant Testing (PT)
    2. Visual Testing (VT)
    3. Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
    4. Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with client and industry quality standards.
  • Accurately document inspection results and findings using designated electronic systems.
  • Maintain objectivity and integrity in reporting inspection outcomes.

What You'll Do:
  • Achieve and maintain Level II certification for the applicable NDE methods by successfully passing general, specific, and practical examinations.
  • Provide verifiable evidence of work experience hours related to NDE methods.
  • Submit valid Level II certification documentation or certification letters as required.
  • Support quality assurance processes within the electrical components manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inspection requirements and standards are consistently met.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience in gauging, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • 2 years of NDE experience.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Able to maintain their level II status.
  • Must be level II certified in at least PT or VT.
  • Experience with Boroscoping techniques and Level II in UT and PAUT.
  • Familiar with the metric system for measurement.
  • Digital literacy and Microsoft Office proficiency are requirements.
  • SAP knowledge.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • May be needed to travel occasionally in this position.
